Please arrive for registration at 10. The day will kick off with a tutors’ concert at 10.20.
New to the double-reed or tempted to give it a go.
For anyone who may be interested in learning a double-reed instrument; children and adults alike. A specialist will be on hand with oboes and bassoons for you to try. We can give you information about finding a teacher and hiring an instrument through SoundStorm Music Hub; teacher lists and plenty of other advice about these unusual instruments. Stay to hear the tutor performances and ensembles if you would like to.

We have a wonderful day lined up with a tutors’ performance, masterclasses and playing in a massed ensemble.
Come along to Kinson Community Centre for a day of all things double reed with:
- Edward Kay (Principal Oboe, BSO)
- Holly Randall (2nd Oboe & Cor Anglais, BSO)
- Tammy Thorn (Principal Bassoon, BSO)
- Emma Selby (2nd Bassoon, BSO)
- Adults £15
- Under 18s £5 – accompanying adult goes free
Includes: Tutors’ performance, attending masterclasses as a spectator, playing in a massed ensemble, try an instrument.
Masterclass or workshop participation:
- Adults £30 (includes entry fee)
- Under 18s £20 (includes entry fee, accompanying adult free)
