A Time Traveller’s Christmas Concert – Monday 19th December 2022

We’re so excited 🎶….

Our tradition of a Broadstone Music Series Christmas orchestral concert is back this year with lots of musical and acting treats performed by our talented young musicians alongside professional musicians.

Our varied programme promises to be a night to remember, starting with a special surprise Time travel story introduction performed by young actors from Yarrells school, and joined by some of our talented young musician soloists!
We are joined by senior young singing stars including Alexandra Burstow performing two Messiah excerpts with our Camerata, Sophia Brown performing “I Have Patiently Waited” from Saint Saens Christmas Oratorio and Ella Wegman will sing “A Hymn to the Virgin” by Edmund Rubbra. You’ll hear some stunning chamber ensembles, and young talented violin soloists Ollie Tooley & Freya Svedberg in a performance of a movement from Bach’s double concerto as well as award winning clarinet soloist Jason Button performing Czardas by Monti. Our SoundStorm Sinfonia with some seasonal music from Handel, to Mozart and even a Broadway medley will be performed by our most senior young musicians alongside professionals, conducted by popular BSO’s Kevin Smith.

We are delighted to present this concert as a conclusion to the wonderful music making by all ages in our Poole Society for Young Musicians charity during 2022. We look forward to another action packed 2023!
