As autumn rolls round we are delighted to announce our 5th Aspiration Through Inspiration day, in collaboration with our hub partner SoundStorm at :-

BOURNEMOUTH AND POOLE COLLEGE, North Road Campus, North Road, Poole, BH14 0LS

Date: SATURDAY 30th OCTOBER 9.30am-4pm

CHAMBER MUSIC DAY INCLUDING TWO PREPARATORY SESSIONS: £45**

and

FLUTE 1 : Fee £15* for Grade 1 up to Grade 4. Timing: 9.30 -11.45 (Parent/carer please arrive 15 minutes before end for short performance of work covered)

and

FLUTE 2: Fee £20* for Grade 5+ Timing: 12.45 – 4.00pm ( Parent/carer please arrive 15 minutes before end for short performance of work covered)

(Financial hardship fund is available through our hub partner SoundStorm).

A DAY OF CHAMBER MUSIC OR FLUTE MASTERCLASSES AND WORKSHOPS WITH these distinguished visiting exceptionally high profile musicians:

Karen Jones – Flute, principal of London Chamber Orchestra and City of London Sinfonia and flute professor at RAM (she is the flautist on many of your favourite film scores like Harry Potter or Bridget Jones)

Joely Koos – cello, co principal of London Chamber Orchestra and City of London Sinfonia and cello professor at Trinity Laban

Sophia Rahman – highly distinguished pianist and accompanist and chamber music professor at Royal Academy of Music.

You can apply to take part in this but places are strictly limited so it will be on a first come first serve basis:

We have space for post grade 5 string players (violins, violas, cellos)
AND

ANY LEVEL flautist from grade 1 + Age 10 to up to age 18

**IN ADDITION TO THE 30th OCTOBER, WE ARE HOLDING TWO PREPARATORY PROFESSIONAL COACHING SESSIONS FOR THE CHAMBER MUSIC DAY with local professional musicians ON:

9th and 23rd OCTOBER at 2pm – 4pm

AND

*ONE NON COMPULSORY PREPARATORY SESSION FOR FLUTE GROUPS ON:
23rd OCTOBER – details tbc depending on numbers in each grade. Will help young musicians get the best out of the flute workshops.
