We are excited to present another Lighthouse Poole Orchestra training day where young orchestral players will sit and perform alongside professional musicians and learn some exciting repertoire …..At this session we are adding a fabulous simultaneous CHORAL TRAINING DAY for singers too. The day will be a Celebration of Youth Orchestral repertoire and Baroque Brilliance featuring Orchestral repertoire, Symphonic Wind and Vivaldi’s most famous vocal composition, “Gloria”.

For young musicians grade 5+ this will be Poole Society for Young Musicians, 2025 AUTUMN project, in collaboration with Lighthouse CENTRE FOR THE ARTS, Poole.

4pm: Youth in Concert: A Day’s Achievement! Concert tickets in aid of Lighthouse, Poole – Adults: £7.50, U18: £1 (Donations in support of Lighthouse are very welcome). Tickets from Lighthouse – PURCHASE HERE – not via Broadstone Music Series. We’d really welcome your support at the performance finale.

We are delighted to invite young musicians to another exceptional full-day orchestral training experience designed to develop confidence skills, and musicality at the highest level and excited to invite singers to participate in this day too. This is an opportunity for growth, connection and artistic inspiration. Whether your child is working towards a musical career or simply passionate about their instrument, this training day offers a supportive and enriching environment to help them thrive.

Under the guidance of experienced professional musicians, participants will:

Engage in focused sectional rehearsals led by experts led orchestral and choral training. Students will refine their technique and deepen they understanding of orchestral playing & choral works.

Rehearse as a full symphony orchestra. Young musicians will experience the unique thrill of working within a large ensembles, building ensemble awareness and performance stamina. Singers will develop their discipline and learn

Explore new exciting repertoire (to be confirmed soon!)

Receive mentorship from professional orchestral musicians. Tutors bring a wealth of experience in a positive setting, offering insight into both performance and the wider musical journey.

Then audience can join us for a powerful performance of Vivaldi’s joyful and timeless Gloria, presented by young musicians following a day of intensive orchestral and choral training!

Who can participate? Young Musicians aged 10 – 18 Grade 5 to diploma level (APPLY HERE) on violin, viola, cello, double bass, flute, clarinet, oboe, bassoon, horn, trumpet, trombone, tuba. Percussionists from grade 3 level.

NB Spaces for wind, Brass and percussion will be limited. For any instruments that become over subscribed, members of PSYM Symphonic Winds will be prioritised.
