Does your child learn an orchestral instrument and would like to take part in a local high quality music activity over 8 weeks a term, with a professional conductor. An opportunity to develop the skills of making music with others and make new musical friends.

Music is proven to be such a major part of a child’s development. Children who grow up in music develop strong music-related connections in the brain. Some of these new pathways actually affect the way we think while playing an instrument stimulates the brain alongside building better coordination and creativity!

The success and popularity of our Mini Maestros Music Academy, run in Poole, has inspired us to bring our fun and enriching music-making closer to families who live in the Bournemouth area too.

We are excited to launch a new BOURNEMOUTH MINI MAESTROS JUNIOR ORCHESTRA this summer term 2024, led by one of our professional conductors, in partnership with Soundstorm Music Education Agency,

So who can join in the fun?

These sessions are for young orchestral instrumentalists from age 6, up to grade 4 exam level and must be able to bring an instrument along. NOTE READING IS ESSENTIAL!

Run over 8 sessions with the two launch sessions being free of charge, fee for subsequent sessions are £12.00 for all six sessions. In the case of hardship, Soundstorm Access Fund is available for low income families, apply at https://soundstorm-music.org.uk/grants/access-fund/

3rd, 10th 17th, 24th June, 1st and 8th July will include an end of term concert!
